In the context of learning and memory, do humans naturally refuse to allow access to information stored in memory? Why is it that in order to retrieve information stored in memory extensive interaction with it is required? The purpose or concept for extensive interaction is to build a link for later retrieval. It seems odd that the human must struggle to remember what was consciously placed into memory. Why do humans, when they desire to remember, refuse to remember?
